Installation overview (per manufacturer instructions)
- Before installation, measure the vehicle height at all 4 wheels and the headlight positions.
- Disconnect the 12V battery (some vehicles require battery back-up – check the owner's manual).
- Raise the front of the vehicle, support it on stands under the frame and remove the front wheels.
- Remove the ABS wire bracket bolts, loosen the ball joint and separate the original arm from the spindle.
- Remove the fender liners and the original arm. On the left side, disconnect the intercooler pipe so the through bolt can slide out.
- Grease the new ball joint, fit the new arm and install the OEM washer with the cup facing outward.
- Torque the castle nut to 110 Nm and fit the cotter pin. Refit the ABS brackets and fender liners.
- On level ground at ride height, torque the arm-to-chassis bolt to 200 Nm and paint-mark the bolts.
- Have the wheel alignment and headlights set and the vehicle's electronic systems calibrated (steering angle sensor, driver assistance systems).
- After 500 km (or two weeks) recheck all bolts for correct torque, and again after off-road use.
The manufacturer states that damage or loss caused by improper installation is not covered by the warranty.

FAQ
When do I need new upper control arms?
The arms are designed for vehicles with lifted suspension – the manufacturer recommends them for lifts above 2" (50 mm). With a lift above 2" using IM2.5 Monotube coilovers they are mandatory.
Why fit upper control arms after a lift?
Lifting changes the front wheel geometry. Pro Forge arms bring it back to correct values – better stability, a more comfortable ride, even tyre wear and more room for bigger tyres.
Is a wheel alignment needed after fitting?
Yes, according to the manufacturer a professional wheel alignment is mandatory. Headlights must also be re-aimed and the vehicle's electronic systems calibrated.
Can I fit them myself?
The manufacturer strongly recommends installation by a certified professional mechanic. We will be happy to fit them for you at our workshop. In any case, we recommend professional installation by a workshop experienced with suspension.
Suspension installation form
When your Ironman 4x4 suspension is fitted, have the workshop fill in the installation form and keep it together with your invoice. You do not need to send it to us, but it is important in case of a warranty claim.
- part numbers of all suspension components
- vehicle height measurements – before installation, after the first test drive and at the 500 km check
